I don’t catch feelings
I catch flights
But I will
If it’s real
But we’re talking fantasy
Make believe
Meanwhile I’m satisfied
With what we’ve got going
That’s my
My homie
Lover
Whatever it is
That’s my
My homie
Lover
Whatever it is
Meet me at a coffee shop
Meet me at a restaurant
Meet me at the movies
We can kick it
Anyplace
I don’t care
I don’t get bored
I’m too creative
But I don’t mind
Some company
Every once in a while
If that’s the situation
But it don’t get me down
It don’t bother me
I don’t catch feelings
I catch flights
But I will
If it’s real
But we’re talking fantasy
Make believe
Meanwhile I’m satisfied
Kick it
Kick it
(Repeat)
That’s my
My homie
Lover
Whatever it is
That’s my
My homie
Lover
Whatever it is
Meet me at a coffee shop
Meet me at a restaurant
Meet me at the movies
We can kick it anyplace
I don’t care
Meet me at a coffee shop
Meet me at a cafe
Meet me at a restaurant
Meet me at the mall
Meet me at the movies
Meet me anywhere
We can kick it
Anyplace
And if a real love
Should come along
I'll surrender
If it manifests
If a real love
Should come my way
I’ll receive it
With open arms
If a real love
Should come along
I'll surrender
If it manifests
If a real love
Should come my way
I’ll receive it
With open arms
Meanwhile I’m satisfied
Homie, lover whatever it is
Meanwhile I’m satisfied
Like so many others, this came like a bolt out of the blue and, even though it's well before payday, I had to have this astonishing album on vinyl to prove it exists. The feel of the tunes makes me feel like the Impressions do, Curtis Mayfield, the big spaces and instinctive horns and stuff drifting in and out. Great grooves and I can see lots of ghosts nodding along to this with big smiles on their faces. At last! Anthony Cottrell
