I’m sending out an S.O.S
Self Over Stress
Won’t let you work my last nerve
I’m sending out an S.O.S
Self Over Stress
Won’t let you drive me crazy
You claim that you love me lately
Then why you so shady
Pushing my buttons so tough
Sneak dissing
Straight up tripping for nothing
Yeah you wanna be starting something
I got enough circumstances
There you go being reckless
I’m sending out an S.O.S
Self Over Stress
Won’t let you put me in the dirt
I’m sending out an S.O.S
Self Over Stress
Won’t let you get me locked up
No don’t force me
To turn into the other me
The one who ain’t nice at all
That guy who will go there
I had enough kicks and punches
Yeah really finna be in something
Who needs enemies
The way my own team is behaving
I’m sending out an S.O.S
Self Over Stress
I won’t let you work my last nerve
I’m sending out an S.O.S
Picking myself
Over the stress
Won’t let you make me catch a case
Ain’t you supposed to be about positivity
Why your company so got damn taxing?
See you gone be mad at me
If I flip out and check you
Please don’t make me check you
Chill
Sending out an S.O.S
Because you're getting on my last nerve
Sending out an SOS
Because you're working on my last nerve
Working my last nerve
(Hell no, no no no no no)
I won’t let you drive me crazy
(Hell no, no no no no no)
I won’t let you drive me crazy
(Hell no, no no no no no)
Cause I won’t let you drive me crazy
Like so many others, this came like a bolt out of the blue and, even though it's well before payday, I had to have this astonishing album on vinyl to prove it exists. The feel of the tunes makes me feel like the Impressions do, Curtis Mayfield, the big spaces and instinctive horns and stuff drifting in and out. Great grooves and I can see lots of ghosts nodding along to this with big smiles on their faces. At last! Anthony Cottrell
